Volunteering

For more than 20 years, the Voluntariar (“Volunteer”) Program has brough us closer to the communities near our sites. Through this initiative, we encourage our internal stakeholders, their families and people we partner with to take part in various volunteer activities that support social leadership and drive identification with our culture and purpose.

All we do reinforces our commitment to planting the future by driving positive change in society and working collaboratively to support education, sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion.

Between 2019 and 2023, Voluntariar has:

12.000
volunteers

127.000

Formare

Through an 18-year-long partnership with the Iochpe Foundation, Formare helps prepare socially vulnerable young adults for the job market by offering a course to prepare future production process operators. The classes are taught by Suzano volunteers in our sites in Aracruz (Espírito Santo), Belém (Pará), Imperatriz (Maranhão), Suzano (São Paulo), Três Lagoas (Mato Grosso do Sul) and Mucuri (Bahia). We are the company with the highest number of Formare classes in Brazil. Visit the Iochpe Foundation website to learn more about the program.
